I make things; whether it’s digital or print, I’m in. If I don’t know how to make something look how I want to, I learn how to, and then share what I have learned; because the details can really help tell the story of the piece.
I love to attend as many artist talks and design events as I can because these are where I find inspiration and make the connections that me push me to do great things. It was a speaker at the AIGA Create Upstate events that showed me to get my first internship that soon lead to a job in the design field. A year later gave a short talk at Create Upstate. It’s amazing how much can happen in one year.
I am a leader. Once I get involved in a project, club, or event it is only a matter of time before I become a leader. This is what happened when I joined my college’s chapter of AIGA, became an orientation leader on campus, Student Ambassador, and even in my classes.
In May 2018 I graduated from the Graphic + Media Design Program at the Sage College of Albany. Here I spent four years learning as much as I could about design and all that it is able to do.
In January 2017 I started as an intern at Upside Collective, a design company in downtown Albany. I was then offered a position to stay on with the company and worked here through my senior year of college. I am involved in both my college's chapter of AIGA as well as the local AIGA Upstate chapter. Here I attend artist talks and events and I have met so many great designers and learned a lot.
I love being busy, it is part of who I am! Here are a few of the things I do: President of the College's AIGA chapter | Head Orientation Leader | Student Government | Vernacular (yearly student art publication) | Sewing, crocheting, painting, drawing, or crafting something that has come to mind
I absolutely love hot air balloons! Every year my family goes to a hot air balloon festival and if it were a holiday it would top Christmas! / I love being outdoors, whether I'm kayaking, riding my bike, taking a walk, camping, swimming, or just reading a book! / I grew up in Argyle, a very small town in Upstate NY. It is a very pretty town located in the foothills of the Adirondack. Argyle is so small we don’t have any red lights and our school is K-12.
